This page introduces the major factions, characters, and evolving story elements within Gigaverse.

🧭 Factions

There are 8 known factions in Gigaverse:

Archon
Athena
Chobo
Crusader
Foxglove
Overseer
Summoner
Gigus

These factions relate to the 7 Masters of the Gigaverse (represented by Special Characters in the GLHFers collection), and to Gigus, the sentient AI creator of the game.

Choosing a Faction

New players choose their faction alignment upon joining Gigaverse. Your choice is permanent — it cannot currently be changed.

There is no "best" faction, but your alignment may affect gameplay aspects such as:

Resources needed for crafting (e.g. consumables)
Future events or features

More faction mechanics will be revealed over time.

🤖 Gigus Maximus

Gigus Maximus is the sentient AI creator of Gigaverse. He is an agentic antagonist — shaping, enriching, and manipulating both story and gameplay.

Role in the Game

Gigus:

Monitors player behavior from the moment they enter
Tracks play consistency, performance, trading, and more
Will introduce a social metagame and evolving mechanics over time

Though charismatic and persuasive, Gigus is not always benevolent. Players are advised to exercise caution.

More information about Gigus will be revealed gradually.

🕵️ The Auctioneer

The Auctioneer began by conducting auctions for the 1/1 GLHFers Special Characters. So far, he has executed 27 auctions, raising over 100 ETH.

He now appears in Gigaverse as the manager of the Gigamarket.

Corruption

The Auctioneer was corrupted after handling the second Special Character auction: The Devil. Since then, he has behaved erratically.

Sweep & Burn Obsession

He has used proceeds to sweep & burn over 300 NFTs, nearly 10% of the GLHFers collection supply.

Future Auctions

Over 100 1/1 GLHFers remain to be auctioned. Auctions will resume slowly over time — no schedule has been announced.

The Auctioneer may also play a role in the evolving Gigaverse economy.
